Webinars & Workshops Disclaimer
Effective date: 2026-06-27
This page explains the limits of Therefy webinars, workshops, public sessions, learning events, and related resources.
Therefy is operated by Mind Turf Private Limited.
Therefy is an audio-first online counselling and emotional support platform operating in India. Therefy is not an emergency service. If there is immediate risk to your safety or someone else's safety, call 112 or contact Tele-MANAS 14416 / 1800-89-14416. Do not wait for a webinar, workshop, email, form reply, or Therefy support response in an emergency.
Therefy offers two services:
- Therapy: structured audio counselling support for adults, delivered by verified counselling psychologists.
- Vent-Out Emotional Support: emotional support for adults, delivered by trained support practitioners.
Therefy may also offer webinars, workshops, public learning sessions, guides, articles, and other educational resources. Webinars and workshops are not Therapy, counselling, Vent-Out Emotional Support, or emergency support.
Legal basis: Consumer protection principles require clear service descriptions and clear distinction between paid one-to-one services, public learning events, and emergency support.
1. Purpose of webinars and workshops
Therefy webinars and workshops are meant for general learning. They may cover topics related to emotional well-being, communication, relationships, stress awareness, self-reflection, family conversations, couple communication, everyday emotional support, workplace well-being, student well-being, digital well-being, support skills, boundaries, and general awareness.
The content is not personal advice, a replacement for a one-to-one Therapy session, or a replacement for Vent-Out Emotional Support.
Legal basis: Consumer protection law supports clear and truthful description of what a paid or free event provides.
2. No personal service relationship
Joining a webinar or workshop does not create a one-to-one service relationship with Therefy or with any speaker. A speaker may answer general questions, discuss general examples, and share broad educational material. This does not mean the speaker understands your full personal situation, is providing a private session, or is responsible for your individual decisions.
If you need one-to-one support, you may consider booking the correct Therefy service through the platform.
Legal basis: Consumer protection principles require clear distinction between general information and individual paid services.
3. Not Therapy
A webinar or workshop is not Therapy. Therapy on Therefy is a separate audio-only service delivered by verified counselling psychologists. A webinar or workshop may include general discussion but does not replace a one-to-one Therapy session and does not include private intake, individual consent, one-to-one session preparation, or personal follow-up unless clearly stated by Therefy.
Legal basis: Consumer protection law restricts misleading service descriptions and requires clear explanation of service boundaries.
4. Not Vent-Out Emotional Support
A webinar or workshop is not Vent-Out Emotional Support. Vent-Out Emotional Support is a separate audio-only service delivered by trained support practitioners. Vent-Out is emotional support only.
A webinar or workshop is a group or public learning format. It is not a private emotional-support session and is not meant for sharing urgent or deeply private matters in a public or group space.
Legal basis: Consumer protection principles require clear distinction between service types so that clients are not misled.
5. Not emergency support
Therefy is not an emergency service. Webinars and workshops are not emergency support.
Do not use a webinar chat, workshop form, Q&A box, feedback form, registration form, email reply, or social media reply for immediate safety risk. If there is immediate risk to your safety or someone else's safety, call 112 or contact Tele-MANAS 14416 / 1800-89-14416.
Therefy may not read event questions or forms immediately. Therefy cannot send police, ambulance, fire, rescue, or local emergency help.
Legal basis: Consumer protection principles require clear warnings where a service is not suitable for emergency use.
6. No promise of outcome
Therefy does not promise that a webinar or workshop will lead to a specific result. Therefy does not promise immediate relief, personal progress, relationship improvement, better communication in every case, emotional change, provider availability, future session access, a specific learning result, or a specific personal outcome.
Your experience may depend on many factors including your situation, expectations, attention, participation, privacy, and support outside the event.
Legal basis: Consumer protection law restricts misleading claims and supports clear outcome limitations.
7. Speaker roles
A webinar or workshop may be led by a verified counselling psychologist, trained support practitioner, internal Therefy team member, guest speaker, facilitator, or invited expert. The event page should explain the speaker's role where relevant.
A trained support practitioner must not present a webinar or workshop as Therapy. A speaker must not promise personal results or encourage participants to share unnecessary sensitive information in a public or group setting.
Legal basis: Consumer protection law requires truthful speaker and service representation. Privacy law supports limiting unnecessary collection of personal and sensitive information.
8. Participant responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the information shared in a webinar or workshop. You should not make important personal, legal, financial, health, safety, relationship, family, or workplace decisions based only on a webinar or workshop. You should seek suitable support where needed.
You should not share private information that you do not want others to hear or see. If the event is live, other participants may see or hear what you share depending on the event format. Use your judgement before speaking, typing, or uploading anything.
Legal basis: Consumer protection principles support clear user responsibility in group and public learning formats. Privacy principles support data minimisation and careful disclosure.
9. Privacy in webinars and workshops
Therefy may collect information for webinar or workshop registration and operation. This may include name, email address, phone number, event selected, payment status if paid, attendance status, feedback, questions submitted, support requests, and technical data.
Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information in public forms, Q&A boxes, chats, feedback forms, or social media comments. If you submit a question, Therefy may answer it in a general way. Therefy may edit or avoid answering a question if it includes private information, another person's information, emergency risk, or content outside the event scope.
Legal basis: Rule 5 of the SPDI Rules, 2011 supports purpose-linked collection of sensitive personal data. Rule 4 requires clear disclosure of information practices.
10. Event recordings and materials
Some webinars or workshops may be recorded, replayed, summarised, or converted into learning material only if Therefy clearly says so. If an event is recorded, Therefy should inform participants where reasonably possible.
Participants must not record, copy, publish, distribute, or sell webinar or workshop content without Therefy's permission. Participants must not share another participant's private information. Event slides, guides, worksheets, recordings, illustrations, and materials belong to Therefy or the relevant rights holder unless stated otherwise.
Legal basis: Indian intellectual-property principles protect original event material. IT Act confidentiality and privacy principles support protection against unauthorised sharing of private electronic information.
11. Paid webinars and workshops
Some webinars or workshops may be paid. Payment will be collected through the platform or another Therefy-approved payment flow. Razorpay may be used for payment processing. The event page should show the main price, schedule, access rules, and refund terms where applicable.
Refunds, cancellations, transfers, and credits are governed by the Refund Policy. Therefy does not guarantee a refund only because a participant expected a one-to-one service from a group event.
Legal basis: Consumer protection and e-commerce principles require clear price, payment, cancellation, refund, and grievance information.
12. Event cancellation or changes
Therefy may cancel, reschedule, change, or pause a webinar or workshop due to speaker availability, low registration, technical issues, safety concerns, platform issues, payment issues, legal or operational reasons, or force majeure events.
If Therefy cancels a paid event, Therefy may offer a refund, transfer, or booking credit under the Refund Policy. If Therefy changes an event, Therefy may notify registered participants through the website, email, account, or another reasonable method.
Legal basis: Consumer protection principles support clear disclosure of cancellation, rescheduling, and remedy options.
13. Public comments and Q&A
If a webinar or workshop allows chat, comments, polls, or Q&A, participants must follow the Code of Conduct. You must not post abusive content, threats, hate speech, spam, another person's private information, emergency messages that need immediate help, misleading claims, promotional content without permission, sexually inappropriate content, or content that disrupts the event.
Therefy may moderate, ignore, hide, remove, or report content where needed. Therefy may remove a participant from an event if they violate the Code of Conduct.
Legal basis: The Information Technology Act, 2000 supports action against misuse of computer resources and harmful electronic conduct. Consumer protection principles support safe event management.
14. Advertising and promotion of events
Therefy may promote webinars and workshops through Google, Meta, email, social media, or other channels. Therefy event ads must not claim or imply that a person has a private emotional concern, counselling need, crisis, relationship failure, or family issue. Therefy event ads must not use fear, shame, pressure, or guaranteed-result claims.
Therefy must not use sensitive Therapy, Vent-Out Emotional Support, safety, intake, emergency, refund, grievance, or session behaviour data to create ad audiences for webinars or workshops. Therefy may use broad, privacy-safe measurement where allowed.
Legal basis: SPDI Rule 6 restricts disclosure of sensitive personal data. India's digital personal data framework supports purpose limitation and safeguards. Major advertising platforms restrict sensitive personal-attribute claims and sensitive-interest targeting.
15. Third-party platforms
Some webinars or workshops may use third-party tools or services for registration, payment, email, streaming, hosting, forms, analytics, or support. Third-party services may have their own privacy policies and terms. Therefy will try to use tools that are suitable for the event and the platform's privacy commitments.
You should not share unnecessary sensitive information through third-party event tools.
Legal basis: Rule 4 of the SPDI Rules, 2011 requires disclosure of information-sharing practices. Rule 6 governs disclosure of sensitive personal data to third parties.
16. Suitability and access
Therefy may limit access to a webinar or workshop if the event is full, payment is incomplete, the participant is under 18, the participant violates the Code of Conduct, the event is not suitable for the participant's stated need, safety risk is disclosed, platform misuse is suspected, or Therefy is required to do so by law or policy.
Therefy may also restrict participation if a person repeatedly disrupts events or misuses group spaces.
Legal basis: Consumer protection law allows fair access rules when disclosed clearly. Platform safety and privacy principles support restrictions where needed.
17. Support
For webinar or workshop support:
Email: support@therefy.com
For legal, privacy, data-rights, or grievance matters:
Email: grievance@therefy.com Phone: 011-4103 4988
Do not use these contacts for immediate safety risk. If there is immediate risk, call 112 or contact Tele-MANAS 14416 / 1800-89-14416.
Legal basis: SPDI Rule 5(9) requires grievance redressal in a time-bound manner. Consumer protection principles support clear support and complaint channels.
18. Changes to this page
Therefy may update this Webinars & Workshops Disclaimer from time to time. The updated version will apply from the effective date shown. If the update is important, Therefy may notify clients through the website, account, email, or another reasonable method.
Legal basis: Rule 4 of the SPDI Rules, 2011 supports clear and updated privacy and platform information. Consumer protection principles also support updated service disclosures.
19. Severability
Webinars and workshops are useful for general learning. They are not one-to-one services, Therapy, counselling, Vent-Out Emotional Support, or emergency support.
